Joshua’s PGL

My favourite activity was canoeing but it still hurt my feet. The reason why I loved it so much was because my team (caleb, rohan, flo, evie and miss potts) kept scoring points. We ate ice creams because Miss Potts is so awesome she bought us ice creams or ice pops.

PGL’s food was amazing my favourite food was hash browns, chips and sausages and my favourite song was moose alpaca moose moose alpaca unicorn repeat.

My room was really fun – I LOVED PGL

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACTIVITIES

My favourite activity was the zip wire because I got over my fear of heights. As well as this, the sensory trail was funny (because we got squirted with water guns!) and I learned how to work well with a team.

FOOD

We had a treat ICE-CREAM – it was amazing. The food was absolutely delightful; we had meals like beef burgers, chicken nuggets & chips, lasagna, hash browns and so much more…

SONGS

We learnt a beaver song, a pirate song and a sing along song. We sung these on our way to activities (although I didn’t enjoy singing!!).

Everything else…

I loved our room, it had my best friend Alex and a good friend Joseph in it.

I LOVED PGL, and I am really looking forward to going to Bude in Year 6!

Activities

The activities were so fun and they were great exercise. The activities lasted all day, the instructors helped us for getting in harnesses so quickly so we had more time to do the activities. Some of the activities that we did were zip wire, abseiling, raft building, Jacobs ladder and much more. Our last activities were group activities and they were so fun. My favourite evening activity was ambush the others were wacky races were dressed up in  skirts and there was cluedo sports.

Food

The food was so nice. The food was different every day and all of it was nice. On the last day we had burgers and for breakfast we had hash brown, sausage, beans and I had yogurt. There were refillable drinks to keep us hydrated and lots of fruit. My favourite was pasta with mince.

Rebekah’s favourite part about Barton Hall :)

PGL or Barton Hall was the one of the best trips I have ever gone on. It had so many activities including the zip wire, fencing and buggy building.

We were put into dormitory’s and had to wake up at seven A.M. finishing activities at nine P.M. This made it very exiting but extremely  tiring.

The staff would make us sing songs as we went to each activities.

My favourite activities of Barton Hall were fencing, because I’m really good at it, and raft building because most of my group (including me) all fell into the lake.

Our meals were really tasty and they filled me up very quickly this is some of what we ate:

Breakfast: lots of cereals, toast, hash browns and fruit.

Lunch: Fish and chips, chicken curry and paella.

Dinner: We had curry and chicken nuggets.

Dessert: Yoghurt, cake and lots more.

I loved Barton Hall a lot and I would recommend it for people who love adventures (and singing).

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park was a very secretive code-cracking centre during World War II. It accommodated the Government’s Code and Cipher school to solve many codes and machines set by the Nazis – such as the Enigma.

Alan Turing

Alan Turing was involved in making a machine that cracked the enigma – a code making game-changer. He made the Bombe
